I listen for local repeaters but the world seems dead. I wouldn't think I have to hold the MONITOR button to hear other people talking, but that's the case, at least on NOAA weather. I set the Channel Step to 5 Khz and entered 01310 for the transmitter offset. As soon as I enter the last digit of the transmitter offset, it changes to 1290. It appears that I can only enter multiples of 30 for the transmitter offset. The step size is definitely set to 5 (F+0+1 brings up STP 5). Two possibilities: either you have a defecti...@Neo

Two possibilities: either you have a defective radio (possible, but a bit unlikely), OR you haven't quite figured it out yet.

Start by programming in several local FM broadcast stations. They're easy signals and you'll quickly see if you can store frequencies and settings into the memory slots. Once programmed, you should have several FM stations in memory. Practice that before trying to do anything else.

Once you catch onto the user interface, it's actually quite logical. But it takes a while to understand.

If by any chance you can prove that the radio is defective, then contact DealExtreme and or Quansheng for assistance. They're both pretty decent companies.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07872771321149993568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4439560882728157292.post-46664634733823321212011-08-29T18:44:14.016-07:002011-08-29T18:44:14.016-07:00Just got my radio.
